Grandson got an intricate-lookin set of Legos for Christmas. Left, 1st pix is finished product. His Dad said he worked about 3hrs. on this. Checking instructions and kept going WITHOUT his Dad's help...Dad says he only helped him "locate" the parts to work with to build this. Amazing....he is soooo smart --ofcourse, he IS my GRANDson....lol

This blog comes with NO pictures---yet! Two mind-blowin things happened to me today while "out with the girls". 1) We went to my MOST fav restaurant...Okinawa. Were shown a 4-seater table, I went left next to wall....somethin on the floor caught my eye...got down & picked it up(thought it was "trash")...no way! It was a $20 bill, just layin there waitin on me...lol   Soooo, I picked it up, sat down, ate  and PAYED my bill w/that found "trash" ....I was gonna be a good girl, pick it up & save someone else the trouble....happy I did, too.  Amazing. 2) We went back to Glitzy Chik--a FAV store for pocketbooks, jewelry, etc. ALL color-coordinated. I had spotted a pocketbook I LUV'd before Christmas...decided to "hold" the funds until later and come back to this. Ofcourse, ....it WAS gone!!! Apparently, someone else liked it, too. The clerk agreed to  attempt to order me one, but gave lil hope they could get another just like it from the

This is scoreboard showin where Eric actually blasted me in MY game--Scrabble. Backstory - The 1st letters he drew (to challenge) spelled out Optimal..bingo off the board!! UGH! 70+ points before I even got the game challenge!! lol Then, there was NO catchin up with low-level tiles....Eric even drew the  X & Q, too...bummers for me...lol The score was 378 E to my 237 when I left home for frollickin w/the girls! Before I left I did manage to draw the Z and make 32pts.---toooo little, toooo late...hahaha Final score:  Eric  383, me 236..... Point of story: It IS the luck of the draw, and receivership of high-score tiles....pitiful 1s &2s won't do much of a job "catchin up". Eric is very happy to have WON and beaten his Mama at "her" game....Oh well, truth is: there can only be ONE winner.....somebody has to lose. :(( The game is just that---a game---and it's FUN to play...will keep doin just that....outcome be danged!! hahaha  :)))))

Recently I gave rave reviews on this product...it tastes just like melted, hot cheese in Mexican restaurants. On Wed. nite, I decided to make nachos &  use this cheese...we LUV it! I was sittin w/GRANDkids and wouldn't be "off" until about 6pm. So, I called Lamar & asked him to thaw out  hamburger meat, cook it & I'd finish when I got home. Plan was: pick up some of this delish cheese & eat nachos for supper...Well, NOT gonna happen this day...UGH There was NOT one can on the shelf! and the clerk said they had not gotten any in 2 wks. BUMMER to the max! Just spoiled my whole supper plans. So funny, 'cause Stacey had 2 cans, I could have "stolen" one IF I had known there was none on the shelf.  Today, "as a joke", Stacey gave us each a can of our precious white cheese!! Frankly, it's NO joke--we LUV'd it! Made our day....so thanks to sweet Stacey--we now have TWO cans to use @our leisure. Funny how we can get so quic

This has been a very interesting, fun, stressful and happy year. The picture to my left is one of the MAIN reasons for happiness this year...Our Mich. GRANDkids came to visit. It had been tooooo long since we were able to HUG them and enjoy being in their space; physically to talk, gaze and wonder at their rapid growth into young adults. 2011 became the year for remodeling, too...Lamar & I both got to experience a "new" bedroom! It is wonderful and we both love our new, updated, freshly painted, re-floored spaces. Eric did such an extremely good job on both rooms. We are sooo proud of these changes (after 30yrs!!) and the attention to details Eric does so well. Thank You again, Eric. We do appreciate your work, sweat, and dedication to get these rooms completed. My most exciting happiness came back in June...I went to a BonJovi concert. WOW! I think this bush/tree would be prefect for the above movie! Look @ the structure of those limbs...fanciful, ominous, strangely eye-appealing! This is it's "winter" look....in summer, it's heavy w/green foliage & literally hangs to the ground (much like a Weeping Willow). It proudly displays the "cut"to keep it off the walkway right now.... Sorry, just find this thing fascinating!!  ( just making use of camera on an outside break from the Grandkids)!!!!

Today was get-a-perm... This is what I looked like w/towel over my head&curlers while "set" on solution took place... Tooo funny! She put towel on my head so it wouldn't be cold..haha  It was, ofcourse, 64 degrees today. ( truth is--I went outside for a "walk-a-bout" and she was so sweet....didn't want my head to get cold--really!) 1st day is waaaay tooo curly, but after it's washed, will pull out some & then you'll be able to see it's a SPIRAL.. That towel on the head thing just cracks me up!!! Never take yoself too seriously...hahaha    :)))) Always find FUN and JOY in your life, whatever is goin on..............

Yea, I admit it...I'm BORED on this nite! Recently changed tissue to Scotties (frm Kleenex). Scotties are a smidge cheaper PLUS there are MORE in the box! So, why not? Tonight, as I reached for a new tissue for my nose/cough issue--noticed readin material on the back of the box. My new pjs I bought today. . Vera Wang. Wash, then wear....can't wait to see how they "feel" on the bod! They are soooo soft & cute. Backstory : never was a "brand" girl growin up...tried to teach my boys that was very unimportant! Now, @ this age, I kinda LIKE being able to enjoy somethin a bit more upscale than WalMart & KMart...hahaha The "rest of the story" will come after they're worn thru the nite.....we'll see ..... :))
