Dreams DO Come True

Many yrs. have passed and now my dream is fulfilled...I have an updated, CLEAN surfaces, storage area, new shower insert, Hi-boy toliet, freshly painted new walls,well-lighted bathroom. There is NO comparison now to what I lived with for over 25yrs.

Old vs New -- Old had paint peeling off walls, only 2 bulbs over the sink, MOLD all around the shower!! It was totally embarrasing & not a pleasant place....New one has all NEW fixtures (brushed nickel), new combo shower head w/like "rain" head & hand-held, freshly painted walls, 3 light set over the sink & overhead light (NEVER had before). Now have storage for all my fun bath gels in drawers & built-in shelves inside shower insert...how wonderful!!

My hero is my son, Eric....he did all the work. It has been a very exhausting, aggravating plumbing & electrical challenge ALL the way thru!! He is very detail oriented, determined & smart, too. The challenges were overwhelming at times, but he got it DONE.

I took my 1st shower tonight & it was absolutely fabulous!!! The room is pretty, all is new & I am very happy w/the results. Guess that's my birthday,mother's day, Christmas,NewYear's, Valentine's day all rolled into one HAPPY event.....

The best outcome is that Eric&I managed to get thru this with no bloodshed!! lol   It has been an amazing journey from dream to realization that it is actually DONE.............

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. MEMORIES.....of Evonne

Isn't she beautiful? Such an ol' soul w/a very sweet spirit about her. This is a difficult blog to write....LIFEtime/Sista friend, and "Auntie" Evonne. It is one I must write for me. Tears already falling....it's still very raw. We spent so much quality time together thru our years. Friends, school chums, and then....she married my Uncle Herman. Wow! Now she was "legally" a member of our family. How wonderful! Our lives were so intertwined....and will always be that way. There  simply is no way to express all we shared in this blog! Evonne SHARED so very much w/me. At the top....her dear Mother....Miss Louise. Miss Louise was a friend, mentor and 2nd mother. She treated me as her own daughter. I MISS her so very much, and now, I MISS Evonne, too. As Donnie said....it SUCKS!! Evonne also SHARED her beautiful daughter--Bonnie, and her 2 grandkids. Photo-HOLIC !

There are many kinds of conditions which need medical attention...alcoholism, drugs, depression. However, I've not figured out what will "fix" me! I'm addicted to a CAMERA and "shootin" pictures. What "cure" is there for me? My family has chided me for years....uh oh, here comes Mom with the camera! Now, I'm even worse...haha  I now have a good camera w/Zoom that will "reach out and touch" whatever I want to capture. Now, understand, I'm a basic point-and-shoot woman. I'm toooo lazy to study and learn about light, lenses and that important stuff! Know that I'll never be more than an amateur with a desire....what's wrong with that? Retired people NEED structure to their lives!! lol  Honestly, I've "found" my niche....me and this camera go everywhere together. I LOVE catching "kodak moments" and enjoy looking for things I might otherwise pass on by without noticing. The above 3 p
