Lamar spotted this guy, at the crack of light this morning! I really did NOT believe, it was a Snipe! But, above it is, and below are my pics....Who Knew?? This is where it's supposed to be....BUT.  It is here, in our lil garden!! I snapped pic of it w/bill stuck in the ground.... just checking out things!! Lamar has become a GREAT  bird-spotter!! Got him "hooked".....LOL We are honored to have such a "special" guest.  

Backstory ~We have this spindly bush, sadly leaning to the right (to catch light, up under 100' or so Pine tree). It is a loved landing spot for all our visiting birds. Winter it is pitiful, early summer/spring ~~leaves take green and a white, cluster "flower" appears. Now, we have this -- Clusters are now purple/red ~~and have tiny berries (which I nevah noticed till today!) Today this became Bird Buffet Bonanza! I began watching, as movement from the clusters, got my attention. Following are pics from this feasting session....all types of birds seem to enjoy the berries ~~even Woodpecker!! Some of the pics are silly -- just to show how they put their beaks in ~and all you can see is bird Butt in the air!!  Up to the neck in it's food bowl!! butt out....head in!! (Titmouse)  .."in" the food source! happy w/sitting down to eat! Then....WOODPECKER showed up for his share! ROBINS seem to be the best berry connoisseu...
