Things change!...Sometimes, we "feel" nostalgic... This ^ sweet Bird house has been around, quite a few years! Love the Sunflower theme. A gift...frm Marc n Stacey, it was displayed on my Porch. (It was intended as "deco", probably!!) Last couple of years....it has been a focal point in my "garden". Noticed wear n tear, a few times. Upon further inspection.....found rot frm Weather had taken it's toll!  +can See separation frm bottom + all I did was lift Up !! Nesting materials still there! So. Best I can recall....8-9 times, Baby birds were born in there...!!!!{for "deco" -- guess gOOd use was made of that one!} Found this pic ~ Marc said he could build that.... OLD wood....looked barn red on porch --in Sun, it appears PURPLE.!!!! Who would have guessed?? LOL Was plain....so painted/outlined w/Yellow (to match pole) Signed in "JailBird" w/blk magic marker. My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

Monday ~ watched 4 Baby Wrens, leave the birdhouse! {this makes Family #5, which nested successfully in this birdhouse!!} The funny thing is ~ birdhouse was for "decorative purposes" only! It adorned my Porch for years....until I needed a replacement. What the heck...never realizing that Mamas would "like" the place! {Marc n Stacey, gave it to me, years ago.} History is ~ Wrens, Chickadees, Bluebirds, 2nd Chickadees (missed outing!} & this Wren bunch. Busy wittle house! It is so much Fun, to watch the procedure of leaving! This time...there was like 10min. between, 2 out & 3rd to join....another 15-20 min. before that last wittle one flew away. I took pics of all 4...they all "look" the same! Some slight difference, but not much! Mama had to come back 3-4 times, to fetch those last 2 buggars! Then....Tues....1 baby came back to the house, went inside, then flew away! Haven't seen any returns since then. Nature is

MAJOR decision made today. After years of ENjoying my bird garden...things must Change.!! Will NOT be "seeding" the ground any more. Our Pretty flying birds, will Still find their feeders & water as usual. {It means....Redbirds n Doves, may leave.} Sad. Since Eric moved --these have INcreased in numbers. {3 - 6}Come in early a.m., stay till dark! Sit in place & scarf up Sunflower seeds! 3 of these - - sm., med. & large. THEY are the reason...we NO longer get Beautiful "traveling" birds. Bless 'em, they found "safer" eating locations. (made Nest @ end of driveway) The "LAST" straw.!!! CHIPMUNKS. In the beginning....2-3, and they were cute. NOT ANY MORE. They have OVER-populated.!! At least a DOZEN now. ugh. It takes very little time, for that quantity to- - Suck Up, Pack Up, and Leave w/ALL the seeds on the ground!!{they never Eat, just Go n STORE!!} Leaving Nothing, for the Beautiful birds. Mar. 31st, 1942 Lamar was born on this day.....76 yrs. ago! GOD picked this man, and brought him to our family. Backstory ~ The 2 of us, lived within 20mi. of each other...Lamar went to a sch. w/David! Lamar said, he visited places I did, while younger...dating! But. We never met. Seven loooong yrs., after my divorce, I met Lamar. He's been our "rock"....since that time. We all Know....we are wonderfully Blessed. It's been 37yrs. of marriage, and thanking GOD, every day for Lamar. Our lives have truly been a roller-coast ride, these last few years.!!We've learned, together- -to cope, endure and remain Strong --as a couple, on this Life journey. Lamar is THE best mentor, for the boys & Donnie. Kind, loving, generous, w/a sense of humor - -and they give him the Respect, he so deserves. A few of my fav pics follow -- This man Is our Blessing, and our "Rock". Hoping Lamar feels our LOVE...during his Birthday, and Every day. HA

Yep. Bought us this little ditty! Got a great deal on it....Less than retail, ofcourse.!! 1st experience tonight. Cooked ground chuck "steaks" + French Fries. CONs {my opinion} If doing more than 1 thing... you must Clean in between cookings. (annoying..LOL) The STEAM frm this guy....wOw! filled the kitchen+dining room.!!!! Now. {I Know, George Foreman don't do that!!}....Had to open window! and let some smokey stuff Out! My nemisis -- Digital controls! Gonna take some "learnin" to conquer that mess.!!LOL I found, meat wasn't "done"....so just added 10 extra min. No problem. Meat was tender and good....NO grease! Fries ---Crunchy, gOOd! Lamar & me both liked that...again, NO grease. I think, I will actually ENjoy using it....when, I Master the digital thingy. LOL IF you have one, what's Your opinion of the Air Fryer? Happy fryin folks.....

Jan. 3, 1981 A lot of changes....many gOOd, others...tough health issues. But. WE are still fighting, as ONE. We make a darn gOOd Team! {some days....our 2 brains, kick in, and work as 1 complete unit!!} LOL Age has crept up on us...since this pic! GOD brought this man into our lives. We All know how Blessed we are, to have Lamar... The SONS + Donnie, have THE best Role model, Mentor and Friend. And me -- well. I got THE best man...as Husband, Provider, Friend, and DAD for our boys. We both have "slowed down", more than we like to tell! But...we DO still have FUN & enjoy each other {most of the time...LOL} These are a few of My fav pics of us.  I Am THANKFUL....for every moment, and year Shared.
