3 Muskeeters....thru the years!

Image
BFF now is a texting term. In my life, these 2 women have been that and soooo much more thru the years. We 3 have shared fun, sadness, happiness and emotions that cover all types of situations.                                                    Now, as we're growing older, we find ourselves separated by distance. Our hearts are still very much "in touch" always. We visit as we can and converse by phone & internet.               Our lives are forever intertwined...these women are most precious to me. They got me thru some very difficult times &years of my life! ( Found these pix while ramblin today.) There's nothing more precious than the memories we keep.  I'm soooo blessed that these 2 women are in my life.  No woman could ask for more than LIFE-time friends. Trust, loyalty and being able to actually depend on their "words" as their "bonds" when they speak is priceless. Gloria, Alice and I will forever be BFFs and more....

Lamar watchin B&B on computer screen! We baby boomers are findin this new "techno" age troublin @ times! We are dabblin our feet in the techie waters rather slowly.... Since gettin U-Verse, I've learned to DVR shows on that are simultaneous w/our regularly watched programs....LUV it. So, yesterday, w/the weather whirling round us....DVR taped weather only -- NO  B&B. Bummers. Today, I set Lamar (aka "Pops") up @ the computer so he could watch and catch up before today's show....cool! Just sayin....even "ole dogs" like enjoying some of this new techno age, too...LOL Yes, I hear you chattin to yoself---what a waste of time watchin Soaps!! DUH! We know that, but it is fun entertainment sometimes & helps get the mind on foolishness...takin away frm the serious agenda of everyday life. A sort of "take me away Calgon" type activity....hahaha  Point being....there are some components of this techno age even us older folk like

Proof.....

I'm "certified" now...haha Took "test" to see IF I'm compatible w/a Pekingese as a pet....This sums that query up pretty well....Profound Pekingese Dog Freak....:)) Ariel (my now baby girl) is our 3rd peke...#1 was Toby...Eric won him off a tv show waaaay back. Toby was chosen frm Atl. Humane Society. #2 was CD and she was a gift and transplanted frm Michigan....#3, Ariel, was purchased out of Alabama. So, we've  enjoyed Pekes from Atl., Michigan and Alabama! All 3 of these "babies" have brought us much companionship, joy, fun and LOVE. Pekes luv to be luv'd.... So, I know I'm a tested PEKE FREAK.....that's ok w/me. There are terms I  would not like associated w/my  name but Peke Freak is ok with me!

Technicolor Palette

This weekend I tripped on over to Ala. to visit Maxine. After reaching Summerville and onto Mentone....oh, God's palatte bout took my breath! The reds are brillant, the oranges, and yellows are "on fire" all thru the mountainous areas. These few pictures in NO way represent what I saw....just some patches I could get a pix. It's frustrating because it's hard to just ride thru and be unable to stop in the middle of the road for pix!! Traffic was too frequent. *this tree to my left is in front of Max's house.... The brillance of the colors  just boggle the senses! It's like being in a technicolor world and goes on for miles....NO ONE can use a paint brush as beautifully as God.... This clump of bushes also caught my attention... Leaf-lookers must get overwhelmed at times, as I did on this trip! C'ville has colors too, but after this trip, they seem "washed out"!! If you get a chance to ride thru mountainous areas, I highly reco
