After I picked up Maxine for her visit, we made a stop on the way to my house. I didn't tell her, so she was surprised.....and I think she enjoyed our road stop. This is a yearly event.....arts, crafts, food and such. I love "gadgets" and found this one at the festival! It may be "tacky" to some.....but I admire "handmade" items. PURPLE is my fav color.....so I bought it.  I really do think it's cute & fun..... Ofcourse, the blades turn w/wind.... I must admit that I have enjoyed a Fanta Grape or few in my younger days! Don't drink sugary drinks much any more....but I DO remember how goooood it tasted!! Lamar likes my "plane" and it's just a fun item. :))

This has been a day. Busy, reflective, tiring, with an end-of-day surprise. I love the above quote. At my age, I've decided this is the road map I want for the rest of my earthly days. LIVE:  I'm a "traveler"....enjoy the adventures of seeing new places and meeting people. I'm NOT a homebody by any means! I am more concerned with "going" than doing things like housework, cooking (YUCK!) or cleaning. Those things always take a back seat to any opportunity to "go".....It's who I am. In defense, I DO love to take trips and return "home". There is absolutely NO place like "home", my husband & sweet Ariel. LOVE:  I truly AM blessed in this life. I enjoy love from many sources.  I have a wonderful, sweet, understanding HUSBAND....who loves me. I have beautiful, loyal FRIENDS....some whom I consider SISTER/Friends. Our FAMILY  is not always together under each other's coattails, but always come together when needed

Today has been a verrry good day. It's one day before my actual birthday. Who knew the "day before" could be so much FUN!! My other 2 "muskeeters" took me to supper. We all were able to experience this restaurant for the first time together. Believe me....we were ALL very pleased and happy w/this choice. (Me, most of all, because I got "treated" to steak & all the fixins!!!!!!) LOL The ambience was nice, Halloween deco very tasteful, service good, food was...knock ya socks off yo feet! (We went around 4pm opening and pretty much had the place to ourselves......uh, to BE ourselves!! Maybe a bit loud & silly....hey, that's who we are....LOL  Appetizer..Green FRIED Tomatoes!! The very BEST I've ever eaten....  B'day freebie....brownie w/ice cream. These are pics of FUN we shared.... One of my pretty, sweet cards..See that bag...oh yea! Vickie went back to Pier 1 and bought this surprise. She knew I liked it

Today was a very good day for David. PT instructor gave him a "tuff" work-out today. I noticed David's facial expressions changed today! The usual "relaxed" face went to.....furrowed brow, big breaths as he worked to complete the tasks, and almost clenching his teeth. This, hopefully, means that some actual "feelings" are happening when these exercises are done. It is a beautiful sight witnessing his progress. After only 4 PT sessions, David has made great strides. He has a determined attitude and is doing the work required. David is much more "independent" at home than when he arrived.  Off the table, up w/walker. Headed to exercise bike.  Rounding the corner.....  Getting closer.... There it is....David made it ALL the way! Yeah.  Riding...moving BOTH  legs..... To GOD goes the glory. We also appreciate all the prayers for healing on his behalf. The kindness and concern of you all is very heartwarming. THANK

Out "roaming" today w/Miss Vickie. We went to Target. As I parked, I noticed this..... Ofcourse, I got out and asked if he minded me taking pictures. He said, no, 3-5 people a day do the same!  It was okay w/him. Yeah. This little guy was busy texting....As we chatted, I learned that he WORKS for Coke! He did this car on his own, and company likes it.( He lives out @ Euharlee) I don't remember seeing this bug before.... Lots of stuff on the pkg. tray....Coke stuff.... Insignia evvvvvery where! On back package tray...... On door too..... Notice....handle on back of car!!!!!!!!! This was truly a photo op I loved!!! I am so happy my camera was WITH me today.....Ya never know what you'll "catch" as a memory. :)))

After our family left....took a "rest". Then I saw him....there was Hairy woodpecker -- back again! I missed photo ops twice lately. ugh. Got him this time.....The last shot barely made it!! He was definitely leaving.....

Today Marc, Stacey and our beautiful GRANDkids came over to eat lunch with us.( Marc also cut grass for us, while he was here.) Since Lamar has been "dedicated" to his diabetic diet....we've only had him make biscuits maybe twice. Today was THE day! This time.....the helper "extraordinaire"  flipped kids! It was Kammie who hollered she wanted to "help" make the biscuits. GrandPa being who he is.....ofcourse she was allowed to do so. Lamar said later that Kammie did a really good job. She has grown since her last "help" date! Everyone was pleased w/the tasty results. Above is Kammie's "special" biscuit---of her own design each time. It's the one in the middle w/the "top notch curl"! Now tell me she's not a straight "artist". :)) After they were cooked....GrandPa made sure she got her "special" biscuit.....

Since David has been here.....he needed a place to rest his legs when sitting on the couch. Use what's on hand.......my 4 couch pillows. :(( The thing is.....they aren't very stable, or high enough to really rest well. THANKS  to  Marc and Stacey. They offered us an ottoman  they aren't using right now in the living room. As you can see above.....this is a very NICE, pretty leather ottoman. It does the job nicely. I picked it up on Sat. and David really does like it soooo much better than my couch cushions. Yeah! What would we all do without our family? They rescue us in big and small ways. Never forget to thank them-----cause ya might need something else later!! HAHA

Today was a verrrry Happy day for David. Annette, his girlfriend, made a surprise visit. The two of them are so sweet and loving together. It gives an old heart a boost to bolster belief in LOVE. David became "King for the Day"!! Annette's daughter offered (he accepted) to cut his hair and give him a shave. This woman is also a very loving and caring person. It was sooo sweet of her to do that for David. I know he hated to see Annette leave. They are so "good" together as a couple. We are very fond of Annette and pray that David will recover and they can resume their close relationship....with David "back on his feet" and independent once again. That was the happy emotions. My day was a bit more bittersweet....Eric moved out --again-- today. Lamar said shortly after he left.....he's just left, and I already miss him!! Sorry....but my tears had to fall.....before I burst! I feel better now...LOL Yes...I DID!! I got that one last shot, whil
