Today, something wonderful happened! There is ONLY 1 person, I know, who can get GrandPa up, out and moving off the porch!! Hunter. Hunter managed to get GrandPa to play basketball w/him! Then....as soon as Kammie realized this ~~ OUT the door she went, too.  LOL  get ready....  whoosh !!  basket.... Kammie "in" the game... Kammie got a few baskets, too. Lamar has great form ~~ stand in place!! Wasn't long before the ol knees gave out....BUT. Hunter got him out there to play!! The kids were very Happy, playing bball w/GRANDPa. A great memory..........

RAIN!! It's coming down hard n fast....then, lightly now. I walked out, near the ramp end ~~ stuck out my arms, turned my head toward the sky. I could feel the "mist" from the wind blowing rain on me. Wow. It was sooo cool to the body, even wiped it on my arms!! (no I didn't go "full body" out in it!) It cools you down so quickly, after such a HOT day. Rain covers all the senses: The Sound, raindrops falling into the pools of water. The Smell ~ fresh and wonderful. The Sight ~ all the trees look like "life" has returned to their lil leaves. And....most important ~~ It lets us know how wonderful Mother Nature performs her services. THANK you, Jesus, for the gift of Rain. Rain nourishes the earth ~~ everything on it, including us humans. *Also, the temp went DOWN......nice side effect!* Playing in the Rain......is  FUN!!

If you are lucky enough to be LOVED by an animal/pet, then you are a Blessed Human! Ariel came to us @ 9wks., lil fat, waddling baby! She has become what I wanted -- a "lap" baby. (I was so hurt n lost after C.D. passed away ~ it only took 3mos. to Need another baby!!) Twice recently, this smart girl has alerted us to "problems" that need attention in this house! #1 She kept standing "attention" in the Laundry room, barking.Since there were none of her toys back there~~~Puzzled me....finally!....I stopped to investigate. There it was all along -- that "spewing" noise~~ I've heard too many times. (plastic pipes in this place, pop--get "pin" holes, and have to be fixed quickly.) Found leak in the Wall, behind the washer.!! Dead on, Smart girl.  :)  Thankfully, Marc came and did the work for us and fixed that problem. #2  This is nasteeee--but we're fighting a rat problem --worse this yr. Living in the woods, go figure! Ari...

We had great Family time Saturday @ Donnie's. As usual, there were some really FUNNY moments thru the day. It would be even better, if you had been there! At lunch I was cuttin up my delicious grilled chicken ~~on a paper plate! ~~chicken "slipped", dropped the plate(w/fresh tomatoes on it) & caught against my pants!! UGH. I was hollerin cause they were White pants ~~ J.D.(Pam's dad) said that he might be wrong, but them pants looked Pink to him!! LOL  I indeed decided @ the last moment, wear Pink pants w/my purple(had pink on it) Tshirt. Everyone had a jolly ol laugh ~~even me! Guess 'dem eyes ain't what they used to be!!!!  Avery on the ground!! Austin told him to "tap" the goal rim 3x ~~well...Avery didn't turn loose. The WHOLE goal fell to the Ground, him still holding on!!! Avery got up, we all cracked up @ the whole thang! He was ok, cause he hit the ground~~not the concrete. Thank goodness!!  hahaha ~~ Josh "playin...

This is the end,of our part, in the baby Wren story! We noticed the last couple of days, mama was workin OVERtime feedin. Day into night, for as long as we were in/out on the porch. All manner of squawkin going on! The pic of a baby feeding was cute! We are 65 n 72, and for the first time, we witnessed the "fly away"!!!! COOL. To our amazement ~~there were 3 (three) babies who flew away! Sadly, Lamar found 1 baby on the ground dead the other day. sniff,sniff  stickin out that wee head...  hmmm...I gotta go!  #3 making the decision to go....  Well...I'm outta here!  after "drop/fly" out ~~walked around tree(poor pic, was excited!) #1 baby, into bush, then "up" tree & off...#2 into yard & flew off, #3 walked alongside the fence, then off... They hung out in the trees & chirpped a while ~then we lost contact. This was truly A.Ma.Zing to witness for us. We LOVE bird watching! Our ending ~~babies beginning!! ...

We've know for some time that there was a baby/babies in the bird house! We see Mama go in/out frequently every day. The last few days, we've heard LOUD squawking and goings on in there! I watched closely today ~~ got my Reward!  Mama coming in to feed..  I walked a bit closer...  this was a bit further back...using zoom  caught this one....pretty close to them.. ****the   PRIZE  shot, to me~~look @ that baby's lil mouth!!! I've had a rather "aggravating" day ~~ lil things to put me into a b.a.d.  mood!! This just made my day!!! Nature at it's very BEST.....
