We now have Kammie in our summer plans! {school is out} Today, Lamar had a dental appt. Hallelujah!! He got his bottom denture plate today. [that's a blog for another time!] So, since Kammie was in her pjs....we decided to stay outside the ofc.  Wasn't very long, out of the truck she goes.! Now ya gotta Know ~ this is a very smart, pretty, mischievous, adventure-seeking gal!! Before I even got out...found her Concrete angel??? who knows!{Sun in her eyes!} Then...hopped up on the back of the truck bed... {said Hunter taught her the "right way" to get up/down!} Walking 'round & dancing! She found her "bug".. Sho nuff! a Lightening bug! {told her to release it, out into the woods...came back... said Grandma, it won't leave me, it just stays on my finger!} Later...flew on away. So ...she was playing w/her Shadow later... Y'all...this grandYoungen is quite the Diva/Entertainer!! Ofcourse, she was Happy to pose for...

Years ago, when I began my bird "sanctuary", there was this medium-sized bush ~ to the right side of my area. Lamar saw an episode of "This Old House", they were relocating a Vermillion bush. So...that's how we were able to identify this "spindly" thang ~w/white flowers in the Spring! A healthy one looks like this .. After all these years {around 30!}....it has "given up the ghost" of life!! We are sooooooo SAD!! Last year, Pig {our Friend} was able to prop it up, with a piece of Rebar, to get some of the live branches Up, off the ground. {a large branch w/new, green growth had broken off...@ the ground area. Think that caused it to fall, toward the ground.} So, it then survived until last night. We had a heavy Rainstorm, with some winds....guess it couldn't hold it's weight any more.
