Agony of DEFEAT!!

MAJOR decision made today.
After years of ENjoying my bird garden...things must Change.!!
Will NOT be "seeding" the ground any more.
Our Pretty flying birds, will Still find their feeders & water as usual. {It means....Redbirds n Doves, may leave.} Sad.
Since Eric moved --these have INcreased in numbers. {3 - 6}Come in early a.m., stay till dark! Sit in place & scarf up Sunflower seeds!
3 of these - - sm., med. & large. THEY are the reason...we NO longer get Beautiful "traveling" birds. Bless 'em, they found "safer" eating locations.

The "LAST" straw.!!! CHIPMUNKS. In the beginning....2-3, and they were cute.
NOT ANY MORE. They have OVER-populated.!! At least a DOZEN now. ugh. It takes very little time, for that quantity to- - Suck Up, Pack Up, and Leave w/ALL the seeds on the ground!!{they never Eat, just Go n STORE!!}

These above pictured creatures have made me Frustrated, Mad, and UNhappy to the max.
My "bird" garden, no longer, a Happy enjoyment to me.
It's disgusting!! what these guys Deny us ol' retirees.!!!
I have fought a GOOD fight --BB gun ALL day, some days. Still here @ dark! geeZ.
I just Hope.....we will have Feeder Birds. They are so pretty and Fun to watch.  Right now, a few GOLDfinches are back.
It has been a "good run", these few years. Many pics, to remember the good gatherings, and beautiful assortment of birds.
My Ol' woman self.....can't take the STRESS of trouble-makers any more. !! LOL

***UPdate ~ HAPPY woman! NOT "seeding" the ground is Working!! Chippies & Squirrels still there ~ but have to "dig ground" to find seed....or....depend on scarce "dropping" frm Feeders.
Feed Redbirds/Doves about 8pm....they get to Eat!
Critters actually make me LAUGH @ them now...
Funny to watch.!!! Squirrels now chase Chippies off!!
Numbers of them down some....!!!!
Love it when a "plan" comes together....LOL

Me, NEEDLES, YES!

Anyone who knows me is already aware of this fact. I do NOT like needles.....AVOID them @ every opportunity! My Dr. struggles to get shots into me! I'd rather take oral meds ANY day....lol   I've been forced to make exception to that on few occasions. Antibiotics. Liver biopsy. Steroids (hate those, the med BURNS!) Now I'm in PT for my hip and leg pain. It's PT, or continue to walk in pain. I chose PT. These lil suckers are wonnnnnderful!!! In only 3 sessions, these guys have gotten rid of my intense pain...Happily, they really don't 'hurt'. There is some slight prick-feel (like shot needles). When they are popped into my "sore spots", it's a bit tender....but then, there's this "heat" sensation. PT instructor explained that means the blood is again flowing, and it helps relax the "tied-up" nerves. Whatev..........I  LOVE it! So, guess and "ol dog" can learn new lessons! hahaha I still do NOT like shots

"Money Pit"

This movie made an unexpected visit here Christmas Eve! Donnie, being the prankster he is!, and Pam decided to play a "funny" on Stacey & Marc. Some of you may know.....Stacey was able this yr. to purchase a house. We've all been so excited for them, and now their money goes NOT to rent, but into a home that will be theirs to grow the kids there. They moved into the house 'bout July. Within a couple of months.....they had to replace the air conditioning system AND dig up the septic....ugh. Now, unfortunately, there seems to be some damage to the roof. ugh. (piece of ceiling in kitchen "fell in"). It's been a tough time for repairs/replacements! So, Donnie went out, searched and found this movie.....gave it to Stacey & Marc as a "gift"......It really WAS quite funny (at the moment!) Notice the looks on Stacey & Marc's faces in these..... #7 - 0 CELEBRATION !

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family
