There are many kinds of conditions which need medical attention...alcoholism, drugs, depression. However, I've not figured out what will "fix" me! I'm addicted to a CAMERA and "shootin" pictures. What "cure" is there for me? My family has chided me for years....uh oh, here comes Mom with the camera! Now, I'm even worse...haha  I now have a good camera w/Zoom that will "reach out and touch" whatever I want to capture. Now, understand, I'm a basic point-and-shoot woman. I'm toooo lazy to study and learn about light, lenses and that important stuff! Know that I'll never be more than an amateur with a desire....what's wrong with that? Retired people NEED structure to their lives!! lol  Honestly, I've "found" my niche....me and this camera go everywhere together. I LOVE catching "kodak moments" and enjoy looking for things I might otherwise pass on by without noticing. The above 3 p...

Everyone has pictures that remind them of another time...these do that for me! My BFF, Barbara, took these when we worked at Kennesaw College. Barbara is a very talented photographer. She has done weddings, too. These pictures remind me of my "younger" days! BTG -- before the gray hair days!! hahaha I still feel the same inside....but the yr. numbers have truly crept up too quickly!! I always loved that dress (it was "silky"), the cameo ring (long gone), and the "M" necklace. It was just  a feeling, I  guess! Thank you, Barbara, for memories of that day and time. Guess I was a bit of a "ham", too....that's what keeps life interesting.....having FUN !! I still love to have FUN --I don't intend to let go of that, no matter the age numbers....                                      ...

Finally...Yanni is releasing a new concert to PBS sometime this month. Soooo  happy! I do ENJOY his music, and find him "easy on the eyes" as well! Read an article on his China visit. Yanni was given a very special gift...he was selected to "adopt" a baby Panda!! How cool is that! Yanni followers know he has a music piece titled "Santorini". As is ALL his music, it is beautiful. He stated that when naming his baby girl Panda....Yanni wanted something meaningful and special. Apparently, there is a beautiful Greek island (Santorini) and some part of the word means "peace". Yanni was very moved by receiving this very special "gift" and chose the name with much thought. That gets it for me....beautiful Panda and my exciting YANNI......what more could I ask....lol

Saw this lil fella flittin around the yard today. Just another sign SPRING has sprung! It's beautiful outside today....SUN shining, warm and holding the promise of outside freedoms to begin! ENJOY the day, all............

1st pic is of "church birdhouse" we mounted to pole. It was strictly a "decorative"bird house, probably not meant for actual living quarters! The last few days....we've noticed our Chickadees seemed to be interested. Didn't catch the two together---but was able to catch one of them. It flies in, goes inside, sits around and just ponders on the whole situation! Once, years ago, we had some birds actually bring in nesting material...they did all that work, then abandoned the whole idea!  In the beginning....there was a steeple on top, but it has long since broken off. The side slits leave too much "open" space for privacy! Feel that these two Chickadees will also "abandon" their interest.... I  WILL  be watching, though.....

On our way to Huddle House for a "light" supper....spotted this (we were looking frm the right side lane). Both of us assumed...therein lies the folly.....it was a woman's purse! NOT....We decided to go eat & if it was still there when we drove home....it would be on our side of the road....we'd stop, retrieve it and call the law. TOOOO funny! "Bag" was still there (curiously, after an hr. or so)....we stopped. I got out, checked on the "purse" lying there. DUH! It is a black bag, filled w/thrown out Large BEER cans.....hahahahaha Lessons learned: don't presume anything, until you check it out. #2, I'm thankful the city cop I approached about it was just that....city....NOT county. (no harm, no foul!!)                                                              Sometimes....trying to be a good person, well, needs a much better...

I luv Scrabble and have been playing the computer "robot" for years. It's as golf, the competition is with yourself! My sons finally cajoled me into playing games with real, live people! I now play WWF and have the most fun! I just luv this game! I've been extremely frustrated lately---WWF hasn't posted "milestones" for  me...dang it. Guess the "pat on the back" is no longer available...lol I very rarely ever managed a 400 pt. game w/the computer "robot". Since I began playing on-line WWF, many of my winning players often are able to obtain that level. I finally  DID  have a 400pt. game the other day....I was so very excited about  it! Then, no published mention of that, or high point words that day...UGH. I'm over it!! Just wish I could have seen it in writing...lol I've also learned a lesson worth remembering -- there is ONLY  one winner, somebody has to lose the game.
