I am blessed with 2 sons.....both are free-spirited, mischevious and enjoy a bit of fun! They both share my sweet Daddy's spirit of "pickin"/mischief on everyone around them! Monday, I was busy making sure to get that "obligatory" pic of me w/my sons before Eric left.  Neither of them are very enthusastic about my camera hobby! Marc was the most hesitant...So. I told him come on and get 'er done! Marc ran toward me quickly, tried to pick me up,had the tight squeeze going on --very playfully and joking. I'm unsure if my feet left the floor, but it may have happened!! Everyone was laughing, I was hollering to put me down/stop, and everyone was "in the moment". *you had to be there to know how really funny it was!!!* Pattie had the camera and tried to "catch" the shananigans. Enjoyed trip to Massee Lane Gardens on Sat. Went home Marshallville hwy. back toward Perry. Spotted a Crop Duster flying low. Ofcourse. I stopped to take pics! I parked in the "sweet" spot where he came right over head and straight at me. Whew...no dust was falling then!  1st sight after parking...  Returning ...  Overhead to make turn..  turning...  h e r e   he comes !  Right over me !!  Reached intersection to turn; he had landed... Reload "dust" for next run! These days everyone is fighting Against this procedure! Too many pesticides on foods we eat. It still was an interesting sight to watch.....

Wednesday yet another, "last yr." compilation came out for FB. ! A friend had done a Loop back for 2013. This one gives numbers -- posts, shares and who "likes" ya stuff. I did it.... WOW! Now that is amazing to me. If ya know me....then, yep, that reflects my "on time" with FB. It doesn't ever seem like a lot of time spent here, but, I can see------yep. I do.  LOL I learned long ago, "visit" a while, get up and do "chores", errands and such. Then.....I'm back again! Retirement has been a huge adjustment. FB has given me opportunity to keep in contact with--friends, family, and an outlet to make "new" friends!  Guess, sometimes, Obsession--in this case, FB,--may be a useful tool to keep one's sanity!  Anyway....I enjoy my time on FB. I can't find a legitimate reason to apologize for those numbers!!

Wow! A beautiful day! Sun, slight breeze and enough energy to DO something!! LOL  Beginning the "spring clean" of the bird sanctuary. Each year, I like to add a few "new" things, and clean the area. #1 priority .. clean the "floor" for the birds. It was verrrry nasty, after all the winter weather and regular pine cone/straw drops! Used the leaf blower to easily "move that mess" right on out! It did take more time than I had figured!! Lamar was my "helper" today! Yep. He raked behind the back timber, while I cleaned, about a ft. of space, around the right side, and front.  ...before Lamar set up bird bath It's nice to see -- now the birds have a clean "floor" !! #2 Repaint lg. staff for bird feeders. Done. Looks like brand new!! It was rusty and so needed some attention! Also. Replaced "country store" birdhouse. This one I already had on hand. In fact, a much LOVED gift from Stacey&Marc years ago....

Friday. Back to school on Monday for these two! It was yet another beautiful day. We went outside to "play". I love the porch SWING! The sun was peeking around the end of the porch, almost directly into my face. It was WARM, and beautiful, and the sky was blue......an almost perfect weather day!  ..attempt @ bike "repair"...but Dad will have to finish!  Swingin.....LOOK @ that hair "in the twirl"... Whacked that one pretty good!  Time well spent. LOVE these kids!

Today I spent time w/the two local Grands. It was a very beautiful day. So. Got them to go outside for a while. Mission....to garner playmates. So, off we go....  This is the way kids walk...middle of the road; Kam, "adventure" wearing flip-flops after boots all winter! Well. Her friend wasn't home. So, she was not happy! Decided to run ahead to next location.  Hunter's friend was @ home, but was unable to leave house. So. We went back to their house.  Kam and her bike..  Hunter on the swing...  Got that tongue action going on during the bouncing!! That pogo stick is "short" now that he's grown taller...he has to bend his knees a lot more!! twirl-around time! It was a good day to share time w/the Grands....OUTside. Maybe, next time, friends will be available for "play" time. I just ENJOY being in their presence!! They are growing up too fast! 

We all surely do MISS sweet Evonne. Wanted to take this time to honor Evonne's crafty side! Von was quite talented in a myriad of arenas. These stories focus on her creative talents. Evonne made this sunflower plate for me. Isn't it beautiful! I think maybe a birthday gift. It still hangs in my kitchen. This was during our crafty decoupage period. I fell in love w/it and the ball rolled from there! I found that Sunflowers were now a favorite of mine. Bright, cheerful, happy flowers. So. I decided to redo my kitchen. I chose Von's plate as my focal point idea. I bought Sunflower wallpaper, we cut out the flowers(quite a project!) and these were applied to my cabinets. It was a lot of tedious cutting.....but we got 'er done. I still LOVE my Sunflower-themed kitchen to this day. I bought this old trunk at a yard sale. (Evonne was living w/us when we tackled both these projects.) I had a Daily Calendar by Thomas Kinkade. I decided to take this outdated one and ...
