34th ANNIVERSARY trippin....

Yep. This is what the beginning of our trip looked like!! We were determined, and did proceed.
This anniversary trip ~the original plan ~ was nixed! Had hoped to trip on up to Chattanooga and eat @ Bea's. (a lazy Susan, country-cookin restaurant). It's a location that is in our early married life history. Lamar found this place when he was DOT traveling. Then, after we married, it was "our" go to place quite often. The boys, Pam&Donnie and other family members had visited with us there, too. {it was a "before" when we went to Lake Winnie} It  was  CLOSED, until Jan. 7th ! ugh...

 The food was  exxxxcellent! We both enjoyed our trip ~~a lot!!
The greatest, sweet Surprise ~~ Donnie & Pam came to the house for a visit on our "special day".!! We enjoyed our time w/them so very much.  LOVE  me some Donnie and Pam.
It's been sprinkle-dinkling all day, but we still had a Great day.
THANK you  all for the sweet wishes.
Hoping for 34 more years ~ GOD truly blessed this family when He brought Lamar into our lives.
Some days --the 34yrs. seem like "yesterday", others, make me smile and Proud --we are making this work, together, 1 day @ a time.

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
