MAXINE ~

This ^, is where our 38yr. Friendship began...1981, Kennesaw College Campus Security.
We became BFFs, SISTA/Friends, she was an Awesome Mentor, and stepped in--as "Mother" figure, when my Mama passed into Heaven.
I began to take Maxine on trips ~ for her birthday ~ each year. Cabins by the water, & 1 trip w/HOTtub on deck!! made her Smile!
3x Gibbs Gardens (she loved the Flowers); Blairsville (Brass Town Bald); Dahlonega(Vogel State Park); Maggie Valley (hit ALL the shops @ Cherokee!!); Lake Guntersville (a FAV for her). We made 2 trips to Panama City (to visit Norah~a Dear friend). Couple of trips to Michigan. So. We Loved to go "trippin" together!! We laughed, ate well and just Relaxed on these trips.
As years progressed....we began chatting EVERY day.!!
We talked Family, grand kids, discussed our day with each other, and...tried to solve a few World problems!!!..LOL {I really MISS those calls & time chatting w/Maxine}
IF there is such ~ Maxine, I believe, was My "soul-sister". We shared similar family Values & Spiritual
beliefs. We laughed @ each other, and together ~ sometimes silly things would crack us up!!
I Am so SAD now....I Know I will See her again, when heaven's door opens for Me.....but. I MISS her, Every day.
The LOVE Maxine gave- -so freely & UNconditionally ~ that Is her Legacy. It was a BLESSING, that Maxine came into my life.
Soooo may Funny, Sweet stories and Memories remain in my Heart...Maxine will Always be there.

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
