Today is my sweet hubby's birthday. I wanted this to be a "perfectly" special day for him. I really did work hard for that outcome...however, Murphy&his stupid Law was too hot on my tail for that to be accomplished!What a bummer for this loving day to get so screwed---all on me...Ratz! #1.Sweet Eric made Chic&Dumplings from scratch--lovingly for his Dad. I "heard" Eric was coming Fri. and bring them to his Dad.....naw! He meant for supper tonight...uh oh! In the meantime, I took Lamar's request for supper & got to it. I know Eric's feelings were bruised, and I'm so sorry....just misunderstood. 1 for freakin Murphy. #2.Prepared the pork chops,as I have many times before....FLOP!! They came out tuff & NOT tender at all. BUMMERS..don't know anything I did differently.... 2 for freaking Murphy. On the most positive note---Lamar's ears should be sore! He got many calls today frm family & friends w/b'day good wishes...Als...

Ginger, you work/clean way too intensely!!! You're like my sweet Mama--anyone could have felt satisfied to "eat off her floors"!! She swept,mopped,washed walls&windows it seemed weekly! Never had dirty dishes/clothes or bathrooms. Mama also cooked 3 meals a day for Daddy & worked. She was one clean, housecleanin woman!! Soooo, I became the opposite>>>>found I enjoyed LIVING better than cleanin!! I honestly do keep things eyesite friendly and the like.....BUT, I have refused since the boys moved on, to spend extraordinary time "deep cleanin"...like I did when they were living @ home. I AM  guilty of "panic" cleanin...lol  I want my house SUPER clean when I'm expecting "special" guests/family to visit. Then, I become "manic" and try to do all the deep cleanin I refused up til then!! Mopping, dustin, cleanin curtains, windows. Regular stuff is usually just "touch up" My products are simple - Greased...

Life is built with loving relationships at the core. No matter how busy and chaotic our lives are, we must always "tend" our relationships with those who really support and love us, unconditionally. Voicing the words, I Love you, seems so simple....but means the world to those we acknowledge with that small phrase. Love to you all..............

WTH Tree -- This tree is in my "garden". Strange scene right now... 1st pix is LEFT side of the tree; 2nd pix is RIGHT side of the same tree. Now....why are there beautiful, sprouting BUDS on the right and absolutely NONE on the left side of this tree? I'm no tree woman....but, even to me this is very STRANGE! Any ideas why this might be happening???? I just need an explanation to satisfy my query!!!!!!!!!! Awaiting words of wisdom....and thanks.

Thank you, Miss Alice!! As "murphy" does when you're in a hurry to go somewhere----he jinxed me to forget my "comfy" house shoes for my trip! I am very BLESSED to have such a sweet, loving friend as Alice....she gave me a pr. of fuzzies to wear while I was there at her home!! How much more loved could a woman feel after having been given such a sweet "gift", even if only temporary "loan"....LOL  Alice & Rick always ensure that weary "travelers" feel welcomed into their home and we are given the most loving attention. Also to be noted, I had to get a dollup of shampoo (didn't bring mine!) and a spritz of hair spray..... God has truly blessed my life. I am so very fortunate to have good, lifetime friends like Alice&Rick..... Our friendship story continues on.................

Packed up all items on shelves, tops of surfaces & took down all pictures in my bedroom! Getting ready to "redo" w/new paint, pull up carpet & replace floor. Is a good thing, right? BUT, there is always one of those.... My collections, pictures, and decor on my shelves makes my room...WARM and comfortable for me. Without these "things", the room is very COLD and sterile. I've been told by my sons&brother that I have too much "stuff". Well, maybe so...but these "things" are comforting and special to me....My room, I can PLEASE myself!! Soooo, I'm excited about updating & paring down, somewhat, but I already MISS my "stuff".                                I'm going to be very happy with the "new" room....BUT, I will be happy again when "things" are back in their places!!! I miss my angels the most. I know this BARE...

Sun. Eric&Marc went fishing. They came home w/5 nice-sized bass. Marc went home & Eric cleaned the fish. Dad told him to throw the "guts" & scales over the fence into the woods....Eric threw them and you can see where they "landed"!!! LOL  Noone could "plan" that wild throw...the newspaper the guts were wrapped in "hung up" in a small tree....Now, did you ever????? Now, we have several feral cats who roam our humble land, and so far, none of them have "discovered" these tasty morsels.... I can't believe that those fish "remains" as yet still "hang out" in that tree!!  Poor tree! Guess eventually, someone will have to remove that "package" and then the little tree can say, Free at last, thank God I'm FREE at last..............
