Now everyone knows playin Russian Roulette can kill ya! I'm talkin a different genre... There is a certain "short cut" into parts of town we visit often...motorin thru this path sometimes STOPs you in your tire tracks!! There are 2 RR tracks you must cross....1 is mostly unused since  that plant is about closed down.   The 2nd set of tracks are very busy!!! You can bet your puttutie (not a word, of course!) that when we start to town on our favorite "short cut"....there's gonna be a train!! Not just any train...but a COAL train which always seems to be bout a mile loooonnnng...lol Point of story: I've always heard you have a 50/50 chance in life -- you either get a yes or a no...very seldom a maybe. So....I usually will take my chances! Sometimes we're rewarded with a clear pass on over to the "other side", BUT, just as often---we get stopped on all 4s...lol Now I know the importance of train transport. So, my question is, why can...

So many words & descriptions are necessary it would take a 500pg. book to cover our lives together!! Alice, you are a SISTER/Friend, 2nd mother to my boys, friend to my family, confidant, and all round "catch me when I fall" woman! Our lives have been filled with joy, sadness, happiness, anger management issues(lol), FUN, comraderie, and so much more! You are a beautiful woman, inside&outwardly, kind, generous, hospitable, caring, loving and always you've been there for me thru whatever comes into my life -- good or bad. I can't imagine having lived my life without you in it. There are just too many memories to rehash! One that will always keep you in the depth of my heart is : you & Rick opening up your home to accomodate my family when Mama passed into heaven. There are NO words to ever express my feelings for that major assist in my life. Just always know, it was so very appreciated & will never be forgotten. I even do remember times when you ...

Problem solved -- suction cups would NOT adhere to my textured shower floor! UGH! Thought it would be useless to me.....light bulb went off tonight...hahaha I simply laid it on top of my shower bath mat...it works!!! I LUV this "bigfoot" w/bristles...after soapin it up, rubbin&scrubbin the feet is soooo easy. There's even a pumice on the heel area for extra attention. When done, it feels like a cheap, but relaxin foot massage! IF you ever try one, be cautious...if not suctioned down well, you may go slippin&slidin.....not what's intended. It works for me..............:)   :)   :)

My diffuser....finally broke down & got one....Ocean Mist, smells nice. Gonna try this for myself! Hope it works....gettin to my feet not as easy now as when I was 20...LOL!! Got plain placemats....think they're more appropriate for this nicer table. Small round thingie is a lazy susan for smaller space on this table....(normally used in bath area--hey, you gotta think "out of the box" -- right!! Also picked up new sm. rugs for 2nd bath & laundry room.  Enjoyed the day & the freedom of just plain "messin around"....lol

Couple of wks. ago I was able to have these 2 women meet for lunch. These are 2 of my lovely sister/friends - Vickie to the left and Maxine closest to camera. God has such a beautiful sense of humor, and he leads us into  otherwise unexplained happiness. Now there is a backstory to this meeting....Many yrs. ago, these 2 women lived across the street from each other....unknown to me. :) I met both in 1981 when I married & moved to Cartersville.  Maxine & I worked together @ Kenn. State and have maintained our friendship since then...even now that she lives in Alabama. Vickie & I are connected thru our kids having grown up together as "fast" friends...we lost touch but have reconnected this last yr. or so. I chatted about each to the other over time---having neither make the connection to themselves!! A few mos. back, Vickie finally had a light bulb moment & recognized a name of Max's son....So, I immediately called Maxine, the 2 talked & laugh...

Monday 15th,2011 These are my 2 sons...workin together toward a common goal...replacing water pump in Marc's Camaro. These boys are "well-seasoned" shade-tree mechanics...Lamar taught them both while they were growing up. That's what Dads & boys do!!   I'm soooo proud of these guys.  All boys need to learn skills like this.  That same mornin, I was able to eat breakfast with the 2 of them....what a treat for me. It's not very often that happens! The moment was also a reminder for me of how happy I am the 2 of them are now very close brothers. After we've left this earth, I can feel secure knowing they love & can depend on each other......Mama just LUVs that..............!!

Managed to get out to a few yard sales today. Haven't been in quite some time as it's been tooo dang HOT!  Lamar&I have been discussing getting one of the bar-height tables....it's gotten more difficult to get out of lower chairs! What's graceful bout aging????? haha The stars were obviously in alignment this mornin....found this table w/4 chairs. Owner only used it as "gamin" table....is in excellent condition. We are soooo HAPPY w/this new table. I know it will be well used as time goes on. Got a honey of a deal on it, too. YEAH, rockin!!  Hated to see the 30yr. old table leave us, but was no longer the best choice for us....It still was in usable, sturdy condition. It will find a happy home elsewhere. Adios to the low, hello to the HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    :)  :)   :)

Omg!! Went to p/u my Camaro this afternoon. Tech said  to leave 2 pcs. of tape over top of windshield(just installed this a.m.) for 24hrs. & crack the windows a bit before closing the doors. OR, the pressure inside would "blow out" the windshield...OMG! What a thought! No pressure on me...lol Well, ok...started down the mtn. and there came the WORST rainSTORM --you can't even imagine the intensity, unless you were w/me & Lamar tryin to drive thru it!!!!!!! The rain was comin down HARD, and SIDEWAYS w/lots of wind, much thunder & lightenin!! I bout had a mini-stroke & almost needed a panties change...lol There was debris all over the road...had to side-move to miss one pretty lg. limb that had blown down across our drive lane! The road is enclosed in LG. old trees...they were all blowin around,too! Now  during all this---I noticed the tape(NOT to be removed for 24hrs.) had blown off! Geez golly dang! I called Lamar (waaay ahead of me)  he said not to wor...

Love crepe myrtle...think they are just such a beautiful, bushy array of blooms. Season almost gone now...boohoo! Did manage to click these 2 clumps along 75...between Kennesaw & Cartersville. Lookin pretty even now.

Our Sun. "go to meetin" place! Marc, Stacey, Hunter, Kammie...luv them! GrandMa w/2 Ga. GRANDkids. **Good food shared w/FAMILY....just as I like it!**
