MONET....

I have loved this painting, from the first time I ever really "noticed" it. In my fantasy....those 2 kids were Chellsey & Brandon coming down the hill! I don't know why. My beautiful Chellsey, and handsome Brandon both have darker hair. It just "hit" me in some unexplained fashion.
I purchased a poster-sized copy of this. It remained on my porch for years. It got "lost" to another change in mood, I guess.
Wonder if we ever understand why a certain piece of art affects us......Can't remember if my love of Sunflowers began before, or after this caught my attention.
Tonight.....while browsing on Pinterest, I found this picture:
This is the painter, Monet. Quite an interesting fella!
Now I have a visual of the "designer" of this affection.
Above is a picture taken @ Gibbs Gardens. This is their interpretation of the MONET bridge. Neat-0.
There are other of Monet's paintings I like....but the grandkids & the sunflowers will always be my favorite!

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
