SPIRIT.....sorta !!!

Spent a couple of days, chasing the secular part of the Christmas spirit. Clean, dust, remove and then add the stuff ya want to show. It's truly a back-breakin process...I have to use a ladder in most places!! (yea, ya can stop voicing the "short" jokes in ya head now...!!  LOL)
I have found this a most difficult endeavor for the past few years. At my age (yea, I know...older!!), there is the obvious absence of KIDS. Empty-nest syndrome sucks on holidays---more than other times.
It's even harder since the local GRANDS have gotten older. They wanna be home, NOT @ GrandMa's house.
(We sometimes go there, just to be a small part of their Christmas.)
It's an awesome type of "lonely" -- missing the excitement of children on Christmas morning! Unable to be a real "part" of that fun anymore!
Anyway. I made some small attempts.! Just don't have the "heart" for decorating these days!

Beginning to listen to Christmas music...that moves the mood forward. So many beautiful songs and voices.
Well. A tree...probably get a small one and put in the LR corner.
Have a very MERRY Christmas ...(the quiet will be here!!)

    Awww, that all looks beautiful!! I've never had kids around my house but you see what I do every year. I do it for ME. You do it for you and Lamar! Get that tree up so I can see it! :) Love y'all!!

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
