MAXINE's "Vaca" ~~ Day One

HAPPY time...picked up sweet Maxine yesterday. This was our "birthday" trip ~~which I'd been unable to pull off! (her b'day was July 27th, we just a bit late!!)
Began trippin @ Barnsley Gardens. She had not been since it was "updated" to a resort.
Was a loooong  walk, but, Maxine enjoyed sitting at the lake/pond, and just "being". It's a very serene, calming place to be.

Then we got a bit "lost" ~~ a very sweet young man, Colin (sp?), stopped, & drove us back to the parking area in the golf cart. !! It was HOT, people, and we were both 'bout down to a frazzle when he rescued us 2 ol' women.! He even got 2 cups of ice & a bottled water for us.
It was about 2:30pm when we left Barnsley. Maxine doesn't eat b'fast, so I took her to Stk n Shake for food! She said she's nevah eaten @ one before ~~she enjoyed the Garlic Dbl burger  + I told her about the great milkshakes, so she got one!!
Yum.....she  Loved it! and the food. Score!!  lol
We then finally returned home to her last "surprise" for this day.
 Choc. Ganache cake frm Publix....the very  BEST  cake! Lamar bought this as her b'day cake~~I didn't know he was planning that one! Lamar is such a thoughtful, caring man. ('course he gets some cake, too....LOL)
She enjoyed the cake a Lot!!  
Now, we're both just "resting" up for the next day's adventure!
I  LOVE observing Maxine enjoy herself ~~It makes me happy, to see her having Fun.  !!

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

Me, NEEDLES, YES!

Anyone who knows me is already aware of this fact. I do NOT like needles.....AVOID them @ every opportunity! My Dr. struggles to get shots into me! I'd rather take oral meds ANY day....lol   I've been forced to make exception to that on few occasions. Antibiotics. Liver biopsy. Steroids (hate those, the med BURNS!) Now I'm in PT for my hip and leg pain. It's PT, or continue to walk in pain. I chose PT. These lil suckers are wonnnnnderful!!! In only 3 sessions, these guys have gotten rid of my intense pain...Happily, they really don't 'hurt'. There is some slight prick-feel (like shot needles). When they are popped into my "sore spots", it's a bit tender....but then, there's this "heat" sensation. PT instructor explained that means the blood is again flowing, and it helps relax the "tied-up" nerves. Whatev..........I  LOVE it! So, guess and "ol dog" can learn new lessons! hahaha I still do NOT like shots

"Money Pit"

This movie made an unexpected visit here Christmas Eve! Donnie, being the prankster he is!, and Pam decided to play a "funny" on Stacey & Marc. Some of you may know.....Stacey was able this yr. to purchase a house. We've all been so excited for them, and now their money goes NOT to rent, but into a home that will be theirs to grow the kids there. They moved into the house 'bout July. Within a couple of months.....they had to replace the air conditioning system AND dig up the septic....ugh. Now, unfortunately, there seems to be some damage to the roof. ugh. (piece of ceiling in kitchen "fell in"). It's been a tough time for repairs/replacements! So, Donnie went out, searched and found this movie.....gave it to Stacey & Marc as a "gift"......It really WAS quite funny (at the moment!) Notice the looks on Stacey & Marc's faces in these.....
