Ding Dang Doozie Deal!!!!!!!!

I've been made the butt of many jokes about my yard sales fettish...Well--lookie here to the left:

I went on EBay just checkin!! lol
It is worth $59.99 (in condition I bought it)!!!!

That sucker cost me....wait for it....50 cents & I have a Witness to the purchase....lol

The backstory - Woman related to me that her husband told her kids he wanted one. All 3(THREE) kids purchased him one as a gift!!!!!!! hahaha  Now, he still has 2 on hand. I asked her & him, will I be attacked as I leave if I give you the 50cents?? lol  They both assured me the purchase price was ok. Even more strange -- today is Sat. and this collectible sat there ALL day Fri. and no one inquired or asked about it....DUH!


My intentions were to buy it for my SWEET sis-in-law who collects ELVIS item & LUVs him. Worst case was that she wouldn't be interested and Lamar could add 1 to his car collection. Well, sis likes the idea of it, so she WILL be receiving this --- simply because I LUV her.


Lesson learned: always ask questions, you may SCORE a bargain....lol

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
