BIRD shot.........

I was blessed to be in my "hometown" this weekend.
Alice, Rick, Lamar, David & I decided to "feast" at our favorite local (well-known) restaurant.
This restaurant is operated by Mennonites....the food is OFF the charts. Vegetables, meats and wonderful desserts. They also have a bakery.....I purchased a Sour Cream Pound Cake.....delish!
Alice, Rick and I were waiting for the other 2 to arrive. We walked around, and I spotted .....the goat! So, headed that way....
On the walk over......Alice yelled, I think a bird just pooped on my head. Well....I checked, sure enough, there was a tiny spot of birdy stuff. It wasn't funny ....then, but we laughed later!
Rick re-checked, just to make sure I got it ALL!!
The irony is.....Alice loves birds, too. We both love 'em. However, she was none too happy w/this particular bird!!!!!!!!! She said she wasn't walking under any more trees.....
We went on and truly enjoyed our meal, chatting and making more memories.....We are blessed to have a lifetime of those! New ones are always welcomed.

    Awwwww, poor Mama!! As much as she loves and takes care of birds, that one should have known to not poop on her head! Bless her heart. I am SO happy, though, that you got them out and y'all went to the Mennonite restaurant!! Glad you had fun!!

ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
