Walked out on porch this morning, enroute to my car. Noticed a bird, perched on the top of the screen door. Upon further inspection-----it was a BABY! It's lil feet firmly attached to the screen and backed up into the corner as tightly as possible! I tried thumping the screen to "shoo" him on...didn't work. Then, open & closed door...didn't work. It would just squeel sorta! and remain in place! I went on outside (w/camera, ofcourse)...no movement frm that attached stance. It's lil feet were firmly attached. I tried prodding gently w/broom handle....nothing! I knew it was a baby, it's lil eyes were only slightly open. Went back on porch and put on my softest gloves. Went out and gently removed it frm it's perch grip....boy did it fuss at me loudly! I know it was scared. Took the fella out and tried to place it on a bush limb. When I let go....it flew....not well, but it did fly off. It came back toward higher branch & lit there. Aft...
Got to get this out..... This past week has been an emotional roller coaster, physically exhausting and painful to my bod! It's been a very long time, since I've experienced a week like this one! SNOW, Ice, Freezing weather keeps me INside the house ~Strike 1. Lamar Fell in the snow, twisted his knee, and has been pretty much "down". He's getting better ~Strike 2. {when Lamar's "down", EVERYthing falls on me.} Lamar is so very much help, and does so much around here. I'm constantly thanking him for his part, it does take 2.!! ARIEL, began having Seizures. It breaks my heart....she's been so sick ~not eat, drink, potty. I've 'bout lost my mind! Strike 3 I keep reminding myself -- I Know that is Truth. I have prayed, called His name, and it is beginning to "let up" ~~quite a lot. THANK you, Jesus. I could NOT have made it thru this week --without His grace and mercy. The other amazing part of this impending rec...

The reason I love it when the sons share their food is...I DON'T enjoy cooking as I did when I was younger....Lamar&I are only 2...it costs less to eat out for us than to buy & prepare store bought foods these days! Then, ofcourse, there is NO clean up, now, that is a very good reason to default on cookin! Since we've retired, I DO cook, but very seldom. We do more breakfasts than any other cookin. Main meals are varied, according to our "taster" thermometer!(What food mood we're in that particular day.) It is truly a blessing that both our sons are GOOD cooks. Sometimes, they share the tasty morsels with us and we LUV that! Either of them are independent enough to take care of food prep if the need arises....a plus if the "significant other" is truly sick/away and are unable to provide for them. These guys grew up w/...
