DRINKS n Dessert !

The 2nd half of our Girls Day Out...
Off to Kennesaw for a specific item and general "meandering"....LOL
We went to Bed,Bath&Beyond. I wanted to pick up a new cup for Lamar. Donnie had one Sun. and Lamar liked it. Pam told me that is where she bought it--BBB.
While there, I also picked up a new king size pillow for me and.....a new squeaky toy for my sweet Ariel.
It's a new fangled kind!(Invincibles) Squeakies are supposed to squeak even AFTER puncture----which she does very quickly on EVERY one she's ever owned!! So, the story continues on that one.
I decided to go get a "drink" and dessert. Why not...
So. We went to TGI Fridays, sat down in a booth near the bar. Bar maid came over, took our drink order---immediately asked for.....ID!!!!!! Lawd! Never had that to happen before....anywhere!! It is so DANG funny, cause ya'll know I'll be 65 next week. Just made my life!!! HAHAHA
I ordered the Tenn. Whiskey Cake....with 2 spoons.!!

There are some things that are just plain SINful. This is one of those. OMG....It was wonnnnerful.

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure!
