I BEAT the "ODDS"....

All of you know my b'day was the 17th of Oct. Also, on that day....we lost our beloved Evonne. It truly was a roller- coaster- ride of a day.
So much happened so quickly. I did celebrate, then that weekend we went "home".
There wasn't much time to absorb/accept my b'day....or enjoy all my sweet, beautiful b'day cards.
Our "tradition" (Lamar & me), is to "showcase" them on our shelf, above the tv. I did place them there.
Today... I read them again, and totally enjoyed each one.
Then, I removed them from the "place of honor". Moving on....
I had told Maxine that I had received 2 cards w/the same "theme/narrative", but thought they were different "fronts".
NO> There are 2 which are EXactly the same fronts and narrative ---but from 2 DIFferent friends!!!!
Who'd a thunk? WHAT are the "odds" of that happening?
I already KNOW how BLESSED I am to have such wonderful, loving, loyal Friends.
I am honored, tickled and Happy that this happened.!!

The cards are beautiful and I truly am enjoying them.
ALL  the cards I received are sweet and beautiful, and I did APPRECIATE each one.
It's just soooooooo nice to be able to say ---I BEAT the "odds".......LOL

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure!
