QUEEN for a Day

This was MY day! I spent it w/two sweet GRANDkids. Attended the book fair, lunch w/both, and granddaughter's dance program.
I was greeted by both---hollerin, throwing up arms, and running toward me when I arrived. It was soooo sweet. They truly can melt the heart!
Seeing and knowing their excitement & happiness just to "see" me was unexplainable thru words! My heart was truly filled w/joy at those moments.
Then....I went w/grandson to "check"  his sugar level. He immediately introduced me to  his nurse. She said that she was so glad I was there. Said he was so excited knowing I was going to be there, and she was happy I did show up. I was again, touched and felt like a very important person!
I have sad memories from my kids growing up. Was not able to attend school functions for them. As a single mama---I was always working. Lamar &  I did make it to an occasional night program....but very few, after we were married. 
I really did have a WONDERFUL, FUN day w/my GRANDkids. It's a memory I will hold in my heart forever. 
GRANDparent is a wonderful stage in life. I'm so  much more relaxed w/these kids. Ofcourse, I know I can always give them "back" to their parents....LOL
What a beautiful life.....when it's filled w/the LOVE of kids................:))))) 
Kids make my world go round.

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
