Murphy STRIKES again!

Attended grandson's awards program today. He seemed pleased that I was there w/his Mom&"sissie".
Lasted approx. 45 min. and left to go home. I had "borrowed" Lamar's truck cause I was gettin low on gas.
Backed out of parking space, heard FLAP<FLAP<, (didn't cuss then), so I pulled into another open parking space. Got out, and above is what I found!! (yes, I did curse!! lol) Could NOT believe the wheel was almost touching the ground...UGH!
So, called Lamar and he came on over to school. In the meantime, I put in a "panic" call to Stacey to see if Marc was up out of bed yet...Luckily, he was due to get up @ 3pm. It was about 2pm then. So sweet Stacey went home, got Marc up and he called me. I pleaded my case and he came right on over. Thank God, cause I knew Lamar couldn't handle this alone.
The humor lies in the fact that this was our 1st flat -- had to READ the manual to find jack & then figure out how to get to it! Jack is on one side behind seats & tire tools on the other side...who knew??? Then, READ the manual to determine how to get tire "down" from underneath the truck bed body....it was a bit of a "comedy of errors".
We are so blessed - God has given us TWO sons who are willing to "come to the rescue" of the "old folks" (as they call us! LOL)
We will have to "treat" Marc to a free meal for his loving help --he LUVS  free food...hahahaha

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure!
