Birth memories - ERIC

This pic taken in May prior to Eric's birth. Only one that I know of during my "with child" 9mos! In those yrs. not many women wanted or desired having their pic taken while pregnant...wow, how times have changed. Now women get on covers of magazines w/baby bump proudly displayed!

I remember - I was 21, soooo excited about becoming a mommie--at least until I was so close to the actual "event"! I told Mama Ogletree that I didn't want to do this (give birth)! She very wisely said to me, well, you can't back out now...lol
 Eric was "easy" baby coming into our world. The Dr. "knocked me out" for a few hrs. because I was soooo slow getting to the deed! When I awoke, I remember having only three (3) hard pains and Wooohoo he was here!
 During those yrs. we did NOT know the sex of our babies....so wanting a boy and actually getting a boy was amazing!
The pregnancy was a very happy, non-eventful time. I felt better and was never sick....except --  I decided to crave Cherry ice cream. After eating it, Eric decided he did NOT like Cherry ice cream and I was sick as a dog!! That was the one & only time I got sick!
Today, Eric and I have a close, loving relationship. He's a good man with a loving heart. Life has dealt us many "mountains to climb" but we're still moving forward....I know I can count on Eric if I need help or just an ear to listen. 
So, Happy Birthday, son....you are one who "lights up" my life. I will ALWAYS love you unconditionally.

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
