Tech Ride...........

Eric,Marc & Donnie have been admonishing me for a while to "get into the 21st century"!!
Well, I say -- baby steps, and maybe. It truly is a journey for me filled w/trepidation,excitement and anticipation....
#1 - Eric encouraged me to get a digital camera, I did. I still basically point/shoot--those darn icons that "pop" up still leave me wondering, wth??!!! So, I'm still taking pictures, just not as "smoothly" as those who understand all those dang icons...lol
#2 - RIP CDs into computer for music I can actually choose & listen to while I game-play or read. WOW! I LUV this. Picked that up fairly quickly--well, it's just insert, play & the rest of the work is done for me...YEAH!
#3-  DVR. When we transferred to AT&T U-Verse, I then began to learn about the DVR. I LUV that thing!! If we're "away" I can record whatever program we may miss. OoooAhhhh!
#4 - MP3 - UGH! This one has been a bit of a challenge for me! Today Eric gave "tutorials" and I begin to understand a bit better. I've got to have this tech down pat---my XM radio is being cancelled the end of this month. I don't want to be left w/FM stations only after enjoying XM stations. I KNOW I'll like MP3 because I get to play/hear only what I WANT to hear---not someone else's choices...Oh yea!
So, I am beginning to put my "toes in the technology" of the 21st century....it's a journey, and I  WILL keep trying to adapt.

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
