Tracking Eric!!

Left is US map...it has been my "life" since Thursday. That's when #1 son was leaving for Vegas for a month to work. 
He & Phil ("adopted" son) got back to Tuscaloosa, had truck problems & returned home for the night. Picked up substitute truck & got into road on Fri. a.m. for Memphis. Picked up materials there & took off for Vegas.
The little "notes" on the sides of the map are times Eric called me telling his location.
Fri. nite - Ft.Smith, Arkansas; Sat. evening spent the nite @ Albuquerque, New Mexico; then Sun. nite approx. 8:15pm, called from across the street from Mandalay Bay hotel ---in VEGAS!!
Thank you Jesus for getting these two men safely to their destination!
It has been a real intense "wait" to know they reached their Point B by "haulin butt" from Point A on Friday.....
Boo hoo!! This distance is the MOST that has ever been between Eric & I....Even when he lived in Michigan, it was only 15hrs. drive time.
Now he has arrived safely....for a few weeks he'll be working in Vegas.
Eric is now excited about the trip -- seeing new landscapes and the beauty of states & places he's never been prior to this trip. The work will be hard manual labor, but the perks of this trip may help ease the physical pains he may endure.....you think???
The flip side of this trip out to Vegas is -- they still have to travel those same thousands of miles to return home.....guess I'll get a new, clean map for that trip....LOL
Eric is excited about sharing pictures he took along the way....know I'll enjoy those ---b/c I probably will never make that trip!! 
Praying these 2 men will work & come back home safely to all the people who LOVE them.....

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure! the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER.
