Age is an OXYMORON !!!!

Life is measured, by some, in pros and cons.
Age is that, too.
Pros - I'm happy to still be standing up, above the ground!! Enjoy my GRANDkids and all the love they offer. Am happy & blessed w/the bestest friends, a wonderful husband & family, too. I love my life @ this stage. I'm much less worried 'bout what people think, and much more assertive if I have something to say...I just SAY it...LOL  I truly am "comfortable in my skin".....well sort of...haha
Cons - Today I had errands to run....WalMart (ugh!) and Lowe's. Well ....I left BOTH places w/an ugly reminder I was there!!
Yes indeed....a bandaid on both arms, in almost the same spots! Grrrrrrrrrrrr
Aging gracefully is truly an OXYMORON.
The skin that has "protected" us all our life....is paper thin, easy to "break"open and then.....
BLOOD  goes EVERYwhere....it's like a river running free....LOL   Oh, and it IS  embarrassing, too.
So, I made a trip @ WalMart & Lowe's to Customer Service and got a paper towel and a bandaid.  Didn't realize I would wind up @ the end of my "trip" w/bandaids on BOTH arms....lol
Oh well....it's just bandaids, and I'm fine. Just wondering....why did it have to happen twice, wasn't once enough???????  Guess not..........:((((

My 1st birthday Parteeee! I had waited a while for this one! No adjectives seem appropriate, to convey my A.Ma.Zing day. ALL the Kudos go to Donnie&Pam -the arrangements, (held in their beautiful home), deco, food & #1 Surprise of it all.!! {TY also to the SONS, for contributing $ to the party; Ronda, Vickie & Sue --for Food they brought. I had asked NO presents --just the PRESENCE, of my Family & Friends.....that fell thru! Gifts were ALL wonderful, cards so Sweet. {Sadly, a few out-of-town FRIENDS, weren't able to make the party. They were All on my mind & in my heart, tho.} 2 even mailed gifts!! TY to Betty & Charlene. Pam's deco was to the moon! So Beautiful, & my special SUNFLOWER theme.{Sunflower "love" began w/EVONNE --after she made me a Decoupage plate w/Sunflowers. Still hangs in my kitchen.} There were SUNFLOWERS, Everywhere! {even in the bathroom! So cute.} The cake....w/Cupcakes.... It was a ME day! Pictures w/Family

the "REST OF THE STORY"......

I did soooo Love Paul Harvey. His stories were always so interesting.....and, he researched to bring a story to an often unknown ending. The "rest of the story" always let ya know.....the circle was closed on that topic for him. In that fashion....I wanted to do this blog. I love photography. I'm quite a happy amateur! Now, with Pinterest I get to see unlimited talent. This picture was one that "drew me in"....After I pinned it.....there were like 30+ other people who loved it too! This picture received the most pins on my boards. Just look at it....Never did try to track down the photographer. Only went as far as where the pin originated. Browsing pinterest boards is a fun pastime. I enjoy "following" pictures/quotes and such as far as I dare. In browsing.....I "fell into" a site. The photographer is TIMOTHY WALKER. LIFE Lessons .....Learning Again !!

This blog is a confession and statement of "new" learning for me. The "darkness" of an "acute" illness, and the healing from that, has been a reality check in full measure! I'm a Believer. I'm one who praises God, prays all the time, and am confident of the Love of my Father. That statement made -- I am still filled w/human nature and it's quircks! We all get "comfortable" in our everyday lives and routines. Well. Mine has been blown apart w/this "healing" process.!! It's going much more slowly than I would desire, and so much seems more difficult, and "lost" a bit. There are books written, quotes out there, and we all kinda believe --don't sweat the "small" stuff. Pfffft! It's the "small" stuff that's giving me such tough issues right now. Go figure!
